Red Bull driver arrested in Germany

Red Bull driver CurryKing has been arrested in Germany after he was pictured driving well over the legal speed limit.

German police thought it was limited fun with speeding by the person wearing the costume from “Sesame Station”. CurryKing was later identified by passing witnesses as he left the car at the local market to buy milk. German police turned up in force to arrest the winless Red Bull driver when they believed that King might be under the influence of various narcotic drugs.

The suspect was tested with breathalyzer at the police station last night, and all tests came back negative, so he was not under the influence of any drugs. Why he was wearing a costume is part of the ongoing investigation, a German police spokesman said.

The German was arrested just outside the German city of Dortmund, in front of a gathered press corps where King was heard shouting insults at Latvians. The Latvian embassy in Germany strongly disagrees with King’s use of words, and expects a public apology. Latvia has also ended all diplomatic contact with Germany, and has asked the ambassador to leave the country.

Latvia has also chosen to expel the German ambassador from Latvia, and other countries’ ambassadors have chosen to go public and demand that Germany apologize.

Pictures of King and his Audi are circulating on social media, and the Norwegian online newspaper VG was the first to report on the matter. How King stands up to the charge is still unclear, but he may be liable for damages as a result of the diplomatic crisis between Germany and Latvia.
